The challenge
Sention Threat Intelligence, a dedicated Australian company steering businesses through today’s challenging landscape, grappled with severe constraints in their core application. As the go-to source for emerging threat and risk information, Sention-iQ plays a pivotal role in influencing critical corporate decisions. However, the existing application fell short, plagued by poor UX, an outdated design, a complicated backend, and heavy lack of scalability.
With so many vital business decisions at stake, Managing Director, Dan, knew a complete overhaul was imperative. Our mission was clear: to craft a modern, user-friendly application that not only addressed the shortcomings of the current system but also allowed users to filter data on-site, save preferences, and access the most relevant threat information in real time.
What we did
- Researched the existing product extensively to understand its purpose, usability, and user base. This included studying the product flow, creating user personas to enhance audience understanding, conducting UX audits and researcing appropriate technologies and analyzed competitors and similar products.
- Designed the full application and user experience in Figma.
- Brought the designs to life with Firebase, Wized, Airtable, and Webflow.
- Transformed the app into a personalized dashboard highlighting threats and risks tailored to individual preferences.
- Incorporated advanced filtering options, enabling users to fine-tune information and store preferences based on geographic region, sector, and role.
- Set up an efficient backend database to streamline data management and allow the client to easily make updates.
